You will receive two emails from Third Horizon Film Festival:

  1. order confirmation email – this is sent at the time of purchase
  2. virtual access email – this includes a direct link to the film or event and will be sent one hour before the film or event is available to watch, unless you purchased your ticket after the film or event is already viewable, in which case, you will receive this within minutes of your first order confirmation email.

This ‘virtual access’ email also includes a 9-digit voucher code. You don’t need to enter this code to access the film online, but it will be required if you have Amazon Fire TV, Roku or Apple TV and prefer to watch the film directly on your smart TV. See the our How to Watch page for more info.

You can also access a direct link to the film or event by logging into your Elevent account. Click ‘view order’ at the top of the page and from there you’ll see your order confirmation, voucher code and a blue ‘View on Third Horizon Film Festival’ button once the film or event is available to watch.

Your virtual pass is what gives you access to the screening portal. There are a few different ways to log into the screening portal:

If you were gifted a pass and haven’t set up an Elevent account, you’ll be prompted to set a password upon logging into the screening portal for the first time.

NOTE: Be sure to bookmark https://virtual.goelevent.com in your browser for easy access to the virtual festival.

Please search your inbox or Spam box for emails from CineSend, Elevent or Third Horizon. If you are unable to find any such correspondence or instructions, please email us at tickets@thirdhorizon.net

Need not worry, this simply means we haven’t made the film or film block available yet. Refer to our Schedule if you’re unsure of when the festival begins or when the films will be playable from.

This is because the films or events haven’t yet been made playable. These will be viewable according to the start dates and times as listed on our Schedule.

Try resetting your password by selecting ‘Forgot.’

Your ‘virtual access’ email will include a ‘view’ button, which links directly to the film on the event in Third Horizon Film Festival’s online screening portal (CineSend).

NOTE: the ‘view’ button will only be visible and active once the film is available to watch, according to the film or event start date and time.

The date and time of when the film or film block is available to view is noted in your order confirmation email and can also be found on the Third Horizon Film Festival website’s Schedule page.

This information is also included on Third Horizon Film Festival’s Virtual Search Page, which you can access by visiting goelevent.com, scrolling to find Third Horizon Film Festival, and finding the film or event you bought a ticket to via the ‘Search Events’ button.

Films are available for viewing for up to 3 hours ONLY, beginning at the scheduled screening time, regardless of when the ticket is purchased and when you actually start viewing.

Yes, so long you do so within the 3 hours of the scheduled screening time, but note, once you’ve seen 95% or more of the film or event you won’t be able to replay it.

Yes, you can start watching film or short film program on, say, your iPad or iPhone and finish watching it on your computer or TV so long as all of your viewing happens using the same WiFi network and thus the same IP address. Note, if you started watching on your iPhone using cellular data and then tried to finish viewing on your laptop connected to your home WiFi, this won’t work.

Yes. You can download the official Third Horizon Film Festival 2021 app on Amazon Fire TV Stick, Apple TV and Roku. Please find instructions on our How to Watch page.

No. You will receive a different ‘virtual access’ email including a unique voucher code for each film or event you purchased a ticket to.

NOTE: different films may have different start dates and times; you will receive your ‘virtual access’ email for each accordingly and one hour before the film or film block becomes available to view.

All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges will be given. If you have any trouble using the ticketing system, please contact tickets@thirdhorizonfilm.net

Unfortunately not. Your ticket or pass is linked to your Elevent account and email address and is viewable in connection to a single IP address. If you are interested in someone else watching the film(s), you can purchase a ticket to any film on our Schedule, but instead of entering your email at checkout, check out as a Guest and enter the intended recipient’s email address instead.

You will need to begin watching this event at the stated ‘live’ time. You may join late, but you will not be able to access the Q+A once the live stream has ended.

CineSend is the platform on which the THFF virtual cinema is hosted. It can be accessed via watch.thirdhorizonfilmfestival.com, and additionally, through our official Third Horizon Film Festival television apps on Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, and Roku.

Elevent is the system through which you purchase tickets to access the THFF virtual cinema on CineSend. Upon purchase of a virtual ticket or virtual festival pass at thirdhorizonfilmfestival.com, you will receive a confirmation email from Elevent. In addition to this, you will receive an activation email which will direct you to our virtual cinema at watch.thirdhorizonfilmfestival.com. You will be prompted to enter your virtual ticket code or virtual pass username and password to create an account to begin watching. For tickets purchased on Elevant for Nite Owl Drive-In, your email will provide instructions on how to how to attend in person.

No. This year’s films will only be available to be screened once during a three-hour window beginning at their scheduled time. Please check our Schedule page to make sure you don’t miss each film’s screening window.

Wherever possible, we’ve made our 2021 lineup of films available to the entire world. However, some films have restrictions on where they can be viewed, and thus have been “geo-blocked” for exclusive access to specific states, countries, or regions. Please view the “viewing restrictions” note on each film to determine if it is available in your location.

If the film or shorts program you’ve purchased a ticket to offers a live Q&A or a live post-film panel discussion, you’ll be able to access this from the film or program’s landing page in our virtual cinema on CineSend. On this page, you’ll see the ‘Play’ button (for the film) on the left hand side, and if there is a live component you will see a ‘Live Stream’ button to the right of it. The ‘Live Stream’ button will display a countdown until it is scheduled to go live; once the scheduled time has been reached, it will display ‘Live’ in place of the countdown.

Yes, you can watch content using Safari on iOS 11.2 or later.

Yes, you can watch content using Chrome on Android 6.0 or later.

Maybe. Unfortunately many built-in Smart TVs web browsers don’t support protected content playback. If you get a black screen or error message, it’s likely that your TV is not compatible. Try another method to get the video onto your TV.

Filmmakers have placed extraordinary trust in us in allowing us to screen their films online before they are officially released to the world in theatres. In order to provide an additional layer of security, CineSend and Elevant have been set up to only allow one ticket or pass purchase per email address.

Use the password reset option on the login page to reset your password. You will need access to the e-mail address you use to log in.

If this is the case, a link to the live discussion will be issued in a second ‘virtual access’ email that you will receive at the same as you ‘virtual access’ ticket email, and/or there will be a link to this on the film or event page itself, which you can access with your virtual ticket. If you can’t locate these details, please contact us at tickets@thirdhorizon.net to inquire.

NOTE: At present, you can also link to live bonus material via the online screening portal.
